Welk beeld of welke uitspraak van Joseph Wresinski inspireert je vandaag\u00a0<\/strong> ?<\/strong>
\nPierre Deleu<\/em>:\u00a0 Zijn antwoord in het gefilmde interview <\/a>van oktober 1987 met een journaliste.\u00a0 Joseph Wresinski zegt daarin :<\/p>\n

‘ Als we niet opletten kan onze democratie leven zonder aandacht voor deze gezinnen en zonder te verwijzen naar hun leefsituatie. Daarom blijf ik deze drie vragen herhalen: Wat jullie doen, wat jullie zeggen, wat jullie denken:\u00a0 helpt dat werkelijk de armen vooruit?
\n<\/span><\/em>Wat jullie doen, wat jullie zeggen, wat jullie denken: helpt het hen om hun verantwoordelijkheid te nemen en om uit de armoede te komen?<\/em>

Waarom?<\/strong>
\nPierre Deleu<\/em>: ‘ Aangezien de woonwagenbewoners een minderheid vormen, nemen de beleidsmakers hun vragen en verlangens niet ernstig genoeg. Al meer dan 20 jaar herhalen wij dat er plaats te kort is voor hun woonwagens. Nochtans zijn er subsidies voorzien voor de inrichting van plaatsen. Maar er is geen of nauwelijks interesse voor deze mensen.
\nDaarnaast geloof ik dat er ook bij hen werk te doen is, om ze te overtuigen samen te werken. Zoals Wresinski aanvankelijk mensen in het daklozenkamp overtuigde dat ze samen iets kunnen bereiken. Dat blijft in onze werking voor de woonwagenbewoners een aandachtspunt. Zij missen een soort vakbond om samen op te komen voor hun rechten.’<\/p>\n
