In maart 2018 publiceerde de stichting Jacques Brel het boek ‘Jacques Brel, Auteur’<\/a> , een verzameling van zijn teksten met commentaar van zijn dochter France Brel. In het commentaar op het lied \u2018Voici \u2018<\/a> uit 1958 vinden we een zinspeling op de ontmoeting tussen Joseph Wresinski en Jacques Brel in het daklozenkamp Noisy-le-Grand<\/em>.<\/strong>
\n
\nFrance Brel schrijft in het boek het volgende :
\n<\/strong>
\n\u2018De verzen \u00ab\u00a0Qu\u2019en nos faubourgs d\u00e9lav\u00e9s \/ Des pr\u00eatres en litanies sont devenus ouvriers\u00a0\u00bb \u00a0zijn een eerbetoon aan Joseph Wresinski, priester-arbeider en stichter van de internationale mensenrechtenbeweging ATD Vierde Wereld.<\/p>\n

Jacques Brel was altijd gevoelig voor de gulheid en de moed van mannen en vrouwen in hun belangeloze pogingen om de meest kwetsbare mensen te helpen.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Op een dag, zonder verwittiging, kwam Brel aan in het daklozenkamp . Sinds 1956 leidde deze priester-arbeider, waardig en moedig, er een vastberaden strijd tegen de schaamte en de vernederingen van de armoede.<\/p>\n

P\u00e8re Joseph herinnerde zich dit onvoorziene bezoek van mijn vader als volgt:<\/strong>
\n\u2018Ik verkeerde in de grote verplettering met 252 gezinnen, helemaal alleen, toen Brel mij op zekere dag zomaar kwam bezoeken, met zijn gekende malligheid. Daarbij maakte hij grootse plannen en zegde mij: \u201cLaten we samen Frankrijk doorkruisen, van plaats naar plaats , en ik zal voor u zingen\u201d.\u00a0 Ik heb het nooit gedaan en hij is ook niet teruggekomen, maar dat geeft niet. Iemand bracht toch een beetje illusie, warmte, een droom.<\/p>\n

Ik bewaar van hem de herinnering van de waarheid, zoals zijn authentieke boodschap in het lied ‘Quand on n\u2019a que l\u2019amour’ , en ook de herinnering van een mens die wat warmte en een droom schonk aan een andere mens. Ik was toen erg alleen, ik had er nood aan, hij kwam op het goede ogenblik.\u2019<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Joseph Wresinski deed het verhaal van deze ontmoeting met Jacques Brel op 17 mei 1973, tijdens een interview in de bekende uitzending \u2018Radioscopie<\/a>\u2019.<\/em><\/p>\n
