6-13 juli 2017, Cerisy-la-Salle, Frankrijk: daar vond een\u00a0 internationaal symposium<\/a> plaats over het rijke gedachtengoed van Joseph Wresinski, 100 jaar na diens geboorte.<\/p>\n

Moraene Roberts, militante met armoede-ervaring en actief lid van ATD Vierde Wereld in het Verenigd Koninkrijk was uitgenodigd, maar de reis maken vanuit Londen was niet mogelijk voor haar. Daarom droeg ze bij via een opgemerkte video-toespraak.<\/p>\n

De inmiddels overleden militante stelt dat armoede een daad van geweld is, omdat het recht op een normaal, waardig leven wordt geschonden. Bij de getroffen mensen wekt het woede op van binnen in.<\/p>\n

Op basis van haar ervaring en die van zeer arme mensen die ze ontmoette, nodigt Moraene Roberts onderzoekers en academici uit, personen die in armoede leven als ervaringsdeskundigen te erkennen. Wanneer onderzoekers, organisaties en mensen in armoede op gelijke voet samenwerken, als gelijkwaardige partners, dan kan je komen tot iets dat leidt naar oplossingen voor armoede.<\/p>\n
