\ndie zonder reden om te geloven of te bestaan,
\ntevergeefs een toekomst zoeken
\nin deze zinloze wereld.<\/p>\n

We bidden Je, Vader,
\nZend arbeiders voor je oogst.<\/em><\/p>\n

Voor die miljoenen mannen, vrouwen en kinderen,
\nwiens hart nog steeds heftig klopt voor de strijd
\nwiens geest zich verzet
\ntegen het onrechtvaardig lot dat hen is opgelegd
\nwiens moed het recht eist
\nop onschatbare waardigheid.<\/p>\n

We bidden Je, Vader,
\nZend arbeiders voor je oogst.<\/em><\/p>\n

Voor die miljoenen kinderen, vrouwen en mannen
\ndie niet willen vervloeken,
\nmaar willen liefhebben en bidden,
\nwerken en zich verenigen,
\nopdat een solidaire wereld geboren zou worden,
\neen wereld waarin elke mens
\nhet beste van zichzelf kan geven

Als eerbetuiging aan P\u00e8re Joseph Wresinski werd dit gebed hernomen op 21 augustus 1997,\u00a0 voor de Steen van Trocad\u00e9ro, door paus Johannes-Paulus II, bij zijn aankomst in Parijs ter gelegenheid van de Wereld-Jongerendagen.<\/em><\/p>\n
